With nearly 9 years of experience in private and community-based mental health settings, David provides a special and unique form of life coach and mentorship services. He graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services before moving on to Portland State University, where he earned his Master of Social Work as a proud member of the last Southern Oregon Cohort in June 2023. His caring and compassionate ideology helped to hone his experiences in crisis work, residential settings, adult foster care, case management, and community-based treatment teams. His volunteer work is grounded in de-escalation, advocacy, and substance abuse, as well as support for the homeless and at-risk communities. David is a parent who enjoys exploring the outdoors with his faithful dog, Procyon, as an avid hiker, backpacker, and rollerblader.

Trust in the Nature of your own design, for what we truly seek is meaning and Purpose! As humans, we have freedom of choice but also personal responsibility for those choices. We are therefore each responsible for creating our own purpose and meaning, but it takes our purposeful intent to create that change itself. As people in a constant state of change/becoming, we simultaneously create ourselves as we exist and are defined by that existence, which is made up of our relationship to other people and things in this world. A provider’s role in the change process is simply to empower others to recognize their strengths as gifts to the world, and ultimately find ways to capitalize on those gifts, giving them the meaning and Purpose that they seek.
By focusing our Awareness on this moment we are better able to recognize our Purpose for what (or rather, when) it is, thus improving our ability to endure hardship and reach a place of peace, even as we struggle through addiction, pain, guilt, anxiety, grief, depression….
